How To Create Puzzle Pieces With A Die Cut

I've had a couple of people ask me how I made the puzzle pieces for the Pansy Cart so they fit together. So, here's what I did -

Die cut the first piece.

Lay the next die cutting edge so the paper
is just inside. This will preserve the edge that
is to fit back into the first cut piece. Run
through machine.

Repeat the process. This time, make sure both sides are in from the cutting edge.

Again, the same process, keeping the corner
just inside.

Now all the pieces have been
die cut, preserving the appropriate
edges so they'll fit back together
like a puzzle.

And here's the picture put back
together like a puzzle.
To better see the individual pieces,
you may want to ink distress the
edges.
